The H+ Summit took place in Boston on June 12-13 at the Harward University Science Center. Here are some photos that I took at the meeting. Above pictured are the organizers David Orban and Alex Lightman introducing Andrea Kuszewski, who worked on enhancing the intelligence of the audience.
Ray Kurzweil talked about how development of technologies can be accurately predictable on a high level. And not only that, of course. The notes of his talk can be found here.
Andrew Hessel predicted emerging economies built on carbon. Some more info on his talk is here.
Heather Knight showed the audience what her little robot friend Nao can do.
An expert on ethics Patrick Lin and Brian Malow, a science comedian (one his best videos - "A virus walks into a bar"), in the hall during one of the breaks.
Ramez Naam presented a perspective of future enhancements in humans. He predicted the editable genome to be available.
Just a couple of pics in the hall.
And this is Andrea Kuszewski and David Bolinsky, who has presented the second part of "The Inner Life of a Cell" video on ATP production and life of a mitochondrion. What a great animation!
Hank Hyena has done a review on the level of achiements in technology development and transhumanism in different nations. I was pleased to hear that the first country mentioned was Russia and the first name - Nikolai Fedorov.
And here are some photos from the networking beer party organized in .... a garage. That was pretty interessting.
George Nivkor, myself and Aubrey de Grey, enjoying the meeting.
I had a wonderful time. Thanks everyone!
We are planning to organize the H+ Summit in Russia in October'11. The proposed topic is The H+ Strategy.
